48. These Pants Were Made For Walking

Blouse-Topshop, Sequin Knickers-Miss Selfridge, Tights-Topshop, Shoes-Rocket Dog, Fur Coat-Warehouse

So this is what I wore on New Years Eve, but on the actual night I was surrounded by boys in a very nice but very cold flat in Hastings without my camera, so I've recreated the look today so that I can blog about it, as our rabbit looked on in confusion. A very productive way to spend my day off, I'm sure you'll agree, along with the other thing I did today-made a gross unexplainable video with my boyfriend, for a friend of ours with a strong dislike of eggy sandwiches :)

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150495313651738 I've no idea if everyone can watch it, I've made it available to the public, but I'm not that great with facebook stuff to be honest.

These are the first photos I've taken using a tripod too (christmas present from the boy) and I must say it was very pleasant not to have to balance my camera on various ledges and bits of furniture, forever in the fear of it falling off.

How is 2012 going for everyone? For me, surprisingly, not much has changed, but I do have a few life plans for the year, not resolutions as such, as I never keep them, but just some things I am determined to try out, like taking up Spanish again and having a serious think about what I want to do with my life so that I don't spend the rest of it working in a little shop. Oh, and to wear matching underwear more often.

47. My Serpentine

Christmas Day look-Dress-Peoples Market via Asos.
This is how I looked before I shoved tissue up each nostril so that I didn't drip snot as I peeled potatoes and wrapped chipolatas in bacon. Good effort. Hope everyone had a magical Christmas! I've somehow managed to wangle having New Year's Eve off as well as New Year's Day, so I'm looking forward to that even if my liver isn't. Note to self; PACE YOURSELF, IT'S NOT A COMPETITION.

46. Festive Falsies

I haven't bought false nails since I was about 12 and they fell off after an hour, but assuming this is the kind of thing to have been improved upon in 11 years, and in a merry festive frenzy, I went ahead and bought a set of 100 for like 6 quid from Boots by a brand called Kiss. I've no idea if thats a good brand or a crap brand but it seemed good value and they fit my nails well. Painted them in an Accessorize shade called Storm and then the tips in Deborah Lipman Razzle Dazzle Two of them did fall off at work the next day-breaking boxes and long nails don't mix, but I restuck them with some random industrial glue I found at work. Very proffessional. All in all, I like, but I can't use the keypad very well on my phone anymore so I accidentally send half finished mis-spelt messages to people, as if I'm permanently drunk

I'm not drunk sadly though, I am dosed up on lemsip as snot runs down my face. Mmmmm. My mum and stepdad just came round for dinner (delish if I say so myself, seems I am an ace cook) and I could feel the damned cold coming on, just in time for Christmas day, hurrah.

Anyway, enough moaning from me, Merry Christmas everyone, hope Santa treats you well, here is a picture of my bunny in a box to speed you on your way to Christmas.

45. All The Kings Horses

Dress-M.Butterfly, Jumper-H&M (very very old), Jacket-Topshop, Hat-Topman, Shoeboots-New Look

Wore this yesterday to do the last of Christmas shopping with Thomas. Well, minus the hat when I discovered it was raining and raining and raining. Didn't think it would be a good look to seem as though I had bedraggled roadkill on my head. Only Gaga could pull that off.

I can't deny that the best part of my day was eating a brownie named the "Oh My God Brownie" from a local bakery. I have never tasted such an amazing brownie in my life. And I have tried a lot. OH MY GOD.

But brownies aside, I think Christmas shopping is actually finally done, and now its just the last few bits to be wrapped. I've also invited my mum and stepdad over on Christmas Eve and I'm cooking dinner for them. I feel the need to impress and show that I'm all grown up, despite the fact I haven't properly lived at home for good in about 4 years. I'm really looking forward to Christmas all of a sudden, I've just not been fussed this year at all til now, so I'm glad the festive feelings are finally starting to sink in!

HO HO HO!

44. Currently Coveting...

Bit of a biased post, as I everything I am currently coveting (well, not everything, just saw some tres cool wall hangings today) but everything fashion/beauty wise, is from the make up range at Soap&Glory. I have a love hate thing going on with this brand-I love the smell of The Breakfast Scrub, but I hate that it makes me want to eat it and its not edible. Just a heads up, don't lick it. I know its hard to resist, but honestly, it just tastes of soap, and absolutely no glory.
Anyway, Dear Santa (and anyone else in the world) GIVE ME ALL OF THESE THINGS, PLEASE AND THANKYOUS.

 .

Supercat liquid liner, Smoulder Kohl eye pencil, Trick And Treatment under eye concealer, Glow All Out highlighter, Kick Ass Concealer, Marvelips double ended lip pencil. All Soap&Glory!
PRETTY PLEASE?!

43. December Glossybox

December Glossybox-a Christmas special! I'm considering cancelling my subscription, just to cut down on some of my unnecessary outgoings, but after this months box, I'm not sure I can bring myself to do it! Most months there are only a couple of products I use, and the regular perfume sample finds itself being ignored too. However, in this box, I had used every single product within 24 hours of opening it!

1. BLINK+Go Hi-Definition Mascara-my lashes are naturally quite long, but lacking in curl, and I have yet to find the perfect product. This was nice though, it gave me properly clump free bambi-like lashes, and I think it would excellent for layering up on a night out for some dramatic looking peepers. Not sure if I would spend £15 on it yet, but I'm very happy with this sample!

2. Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lipgloss in Serengeti- Nothing too dramatic going on here, I want to describe the shade as like a tanned peach if that makes sense! Its nice and natural looking which I prefer in a gloss-if I want a hit of colour, I'd much rather use a matte lipstick. This is now living in my handbag, so I can slick it on at work after my lunchbreak, in an attempt to stay looking preened.

3. Deborah Lippman Nail Varnish in Razzle Dazzle (plus Stripper to go nail varnish remover mitt)-Oh how I adore this varnish! I've been itching to try out a glitter polish for Christmas and I love this reddy pinky colour-oh so festive! Needs a few coats to get this sort of opaque look, but I'm wondering what one coat of it would look like over the top of a different colour, maybe a dark purple. I thought that being a glitter, it would chip off very easily, but even without a top coat I'm impressed with its staying power. Side note-this varnish would properly look even nicer on someone who can apply it properly, instead of like a child who struggles to stay inside the lines.

Oh, I liked the novelty if the little finger mitt to remove my old varnish, but I think I'll stick to the usual method for now!

4. MeMeMe Seventh Heaven-Moisturising Facebase- I am in love with this product. I'm not a massive skincare junkie, but I was interested in this, as it specifically is aimed to prime as well as moisturise. At the time of applying my make up I can't say I noticed a massive difference, but as the day wore on, I realised my skin was still soft rather than starting to dry out and go a bit red and patchy like it normally does (especially at this time off year, with the air conditioner units at work blowing out hot air the whole time). But the thing I love most about this, is the gorgeous goegeous scent. Its citrusy but sweet at the same time. MeMeMe is a brand I'd heard of, but never tried out before, but I think I'm going to be investigating if there are any other products with this smell!

5. Rituals Foaming Shower Gel- First off I'd like to say how pleased I was with the unexpected size of what I assumed would be a small sample-thanks Glossybox! This will definitely get used, it smells nice, though I have to say that when I used it, I felt like I'd accidentally picked up a shaving gel rather than a shower one, because of the foamy action, but I'm sure I'll get used to it, and probably end up not wanting to go back to the lacklustre lathers of a normal shower gel! Be careful when you use it though-I wanted to squirt a little on the back of my hand so I could smell it, when I was sat on the sofa looking at all my goodies. It ended up shooting across the room, making me feel like Spiderman/a porn star, and left this splatted on the wall which was a good metre away from where I was sitting.

I've seen a few variations on this months Glossybox, and I reckon I've done particularly well with my selection, but I think its been a good one for most others too, so I'm probably going to give it a chance to win me over next month too!

42. Peace On Earth

 Top-Topshop, Skirt-Customised/Charity shop, Belt-Urban Outfitters, Coat-Warehouse, Shoes-Rocket Dog

Excuse the pasty legs-believe it or not they actually have a lick of fake tan on, what a shame, oh what a shame. Anyway, this is what I wore upon my person when I went to a battle of the bands final last night (my lovers band won, wahoo!). I went along on my own, so I like to think I looked mysterious and sultry as I sat alone with my beverage in fur and a slick of red lipstick. The image was probably ruined by the fact my drink was blue (blue cider, how could I resist such a novelty!?) complete with a pink curly straw that I couldnt drink out of properly, but the effort was there.

This fur coat was the one I got with the Grazia discount from Warehouse, and its so unbelievabley soft. Numerous people have asked me if it's real...but unless monofibre is an animal...no.

How frickin' cool is the belt?! Its a good job I only had one of those blue ciders though, as the belt is teeeeeny tiny and I cannot afford any whisper of a bloat in it.

The skirt was £2.49 from a charity shop, and the under layer came down all the way, so I just gave it a trim to mimic all the wonderful sheer maxis around at the moment, that I love, but cannot bring myself to spend out on.

Well I've been working all week, including today (Sunday) and I only have 2 days off before Christmas, so that's a bit of a bummer. The overtime pay will be nice, but all the tax taken off it will make me bitter and resentful at the fact it will amount to less than £5 an hour after deductions, so I'm just trying to power through and not think about it....holidays are coming, holidays coming etc etc etc. And I have New Years Day off, so paaaarty time for New Years! Anyone got any good plans for bringing in 2012? Or any good outfits planned?!
